The end of an era – and what it means for international callers
Microsoft officially retired Skype on May 5, 2025, ending over two decades of service as one of the world's most popular communication platforms. Users were redirected to Microsoft Teams – a business collaboration tool, not an international calling service.
The problem? Microsoft Teams Free does not support paid calling plans for international calls to landlines and mobiles. If you relied on Skype to call phone numbers abroad – for business, family, or customer support lines – Teams simply isn't a replacement.
That's exactly why FluffyCall exists. Built specifically for cheap international calls from your browser, FluffyCall picks up where Skype left off – but without the app downloads, connection fees, and per-minute rounding that Skype was known for.
For businesses, freelancers, and remote teams, this matters even more. Whether you're calling international suppliers, coordinating with overseas partners, reaching customer support lines abroad, or managing a distributed team – FluffyCall gives you a reliable, cost-effective solution that works from any browser, on any device, without IT setup.
